The University of Pennsylvania Press Selects MEI Global to Facilitate Third Party Partnerships

Content Licensing Agency to seek distribution deals that spread Penn Press' knowledge and underpin intellectual inquiry

PHILADEPHIA, Oct. 22, 2024 -- Today the University of Pennsylvania Press (Penn Press) announced it has chosen content licensing experts MEI Global, LLC (MEIG) to identify, negotiate, and manage strategic third-party distribution relationships on its behalf. The decision underscores Penn Press' multi-century commitment to advancing intellectual inquiry, collaborating across communities, and ensuring diverse voices are heard, by creating licensing partnerships to reach new readers across multiple markets.


The University of Pennsylvania Press was originally incorporated with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 1890. By the mid-1960s, Penn Press had begun to focus its editorial program on American and European historical and cultural studies and the social sciences, and resources for practitioners in healthcare, human rights, and public policy. The Press today publishes 28 journals and 100 new books annually and has a substantial active backlist of titles.
